What is Your Favorite Cake, Colorado?
Are you a big dessert fan? I'm a huge cake lover. The more buttercream the better. I love going to new bakeries and cafes that sell cake, or even flaky pastries.
What is your favorite cake?
Mine is a white cake and buttercream frosting, or strawberry frosting.
Are you a frosting or whip cream fan?
To me, it's not a cake without lots of buttercream frosting. The thicker the better.
Have you tried a coca cola cake?
I first did when I lived in Texas for a short time. Cocoa powder, buttermilk, eggs, and cinnamon glaze are just a few of the ingredients. I tried to make one, but that was a disaster.
Some of Colorado's favorite cakes are chocolate, red velvet, carrot, lemon, and angel food cake. But let's add a few more for fun. I love bundt cake with caramel drizzle. Tres Leches happens to be New Mexico's favorite. Basically, a sponge cake with whole milk, condensed, heavy cream, and evaporated milk. I can't say I like that one.
Have you tried an olive oil cake? That's a favorite in Salt Lake City at Tulie Bakery. I may need to give that one a try. There are just too many to choose from, let me know yours. Let's not forget cheesecake, which is a favorite just about anywhere.
