Spring is on the way and that means heading to local farmers markets. Now some are open all year. Just not every weekend in the Winter months.

What do you expect to find at a farmers market?

Fresh produce, eggs, local honey, handmade soaps, teas, and much more.

Are you an organic veggies and fruit enthusiast?

Quite a few are, and you can find great produce, just out of the garden as they say.

Could you save on eggs at your local farmers market?

With egg prices so high, I'd say yes. I paid about 50 cents less for a dozen the last time I was at the farmers market.

With the weather turning to spring soon, I hope you get out and check out your local farmer's market. Taking a nice drive on a Saturday or Sunday is great too. There are plenty of farmers markets to choose from on the western slope.
