What Are You Grateful For Montrose
The year is already in its fifth month. May is actually Mental Health Awareness Month. It's been observed in the United States since 1949, all started by the Mental Health American Organization. We may know someone who struggles with mental illness.
It got me thinking about things we can be grateful for. So pick 10 photos from your phone that make you happy or smile if you can ones from this year. There are so many things to be grateful for. The first thing that comes to mind is clean water, not all people experience that each day. Living in the Mountains on the Western Slope, and breathing clean air. Not smog every day.
It's easy to go to the negative, especially since the pandemic began. I feel we are just on guard more. Life can be so stressful. When you get up in the morning, make it a habit to not check your phone right away. Have a few minutes to have coffee, take your dog out, or just reflect on what you are up to that day. I also highly recommend the Calm app, it helps me relax more before going to bed at night.
When you are having a tough day, go back to those 10 or so photos and smile. Try not to laugh too much at mine.
