The 7 Wealthiest People in Colorado

It's that time of year again!

Forbes has published their annual list of the richest people on the planet. Among the usual suspects on the national stage are a few Colorado billionaires with names I never knew before, and will likely forget in the near-future. That's one of the perks of having more money than most people will ever see in fifty lifetimes: the ability to disappear if you want to. I must admit that I envy that.

The top spot has become competitive.

Before we get to the Colorado billionaires, it's worth mentioning that there has been a change to the top of the overall Forbes list. Though it made news a few weeks ago, it bears repeating that Elon Musk is no longer the richest man on the planet. That honor now belongs to French tycoon Bernard Arnault and his family. They have a net worth of $211 billion, while Musk is now worth a paltry $180 billion, which may or may not have had something to do with his recent business decisions.

The Top Ten

As I mentioned before, the rest of the list is made up of the usual suspects: Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, etc. I guess when you're working with that much money, massive changes to the lineup are rare. Unless, of course, you blow all your money on something foolish; I don't think most billionaires tend to account for that.
