Big things are happening ahead of the 2022-2023 ski season at Loveland Ski Area.
What kind of big things?
According to Loveland Ski Area's COO, Rob Goodell, the ski area is currently finishing up work on a new ski lodge as well as a new chair lift.
“Getting things buttoned up and ready,” Goodell told 9News earlier this week.
The Latest Additions To Colorado's Loveland Ski Area
Soon, visitors be able to access and enjoy all that's set to come with Loveland Ski Area's new Loveland Valley Lodge - home to Loveland's ski and ride school, a rental shop, a sales office, as well as ski patrol. In addition, the lodge will also feature a bar, food, and a giant fireplace to sit and relax by after a hard day learning to ski.
“We expanded by almost 14,000 square feet, adding inside space [and] a new bar area,” Goodell told 9News. “More guest service space for ski ride school and a ski rental sales center. It’s phenomenal.”
More About The Loveland Valley Lodge
Loveland Valley caters to beginners with lighter, un-crowded slopes perfectly equipped for those for first-time skiers.
"With its own chair lifts, surface lifts, and wide open terrain, beginners don’t have to worry about intimidating runs crossing their path or sharing trails with intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders", Symmetry Builders Inc. said in regard to the area's renovation plans.
Loveland Valley's Ski & Ride School will offer affordable lessons for individuals of all ages.
Additional Upgrades
According to Goodell, the ski area is also replacing Chair 6 with a new chairlift that will also be ready this season.
“We have replaced Chair 6,” Goodell told 9News. “It was a fixed grip double that was put in in 1977 so it was time for an upgrade there. It will be a fixed grip but a triple now.”
