One Colorado City Has Monopoly on Whataburger Locations
The taste of one of the most mouthwatering and delicious burgers is so close, yet so far to reaching those across Colorado.
According to a report from 9News, Whataburger has chosen its next four locations in the state of Colorado.
Whataburger Returns to Colorado
Houston Historic Retail reports that there were as many as 5 Colorado Whataburger locations in the 1970s but unfortunately, all of them eventually closed their doors.
Its been decades since those restaurants were in operation, but at the beginning of 2022, Whataburger opened its first Colorado location in decades in Colorado Springs.
Find Whataburger in Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs was not one of the locations of the previous Whataburger sites, but it is a very popular tourist hot spot, so it's understandable why the city was chosen for Whataburger's big return.
Whataburger's first location in Colorado Springs opened in February 2022 and is located at 1310 Interquest Parkway. The opening of the restaurant drew massive lines proving just how popular Whataburger truly is.
In September 2022, just a few months after the first location opened in Colorado Springs, a second location was also opened in the city at 6140 Dublin Blvd.
Colorado Springs Whataburger Monopoly
Whataburger has decided to open 4 more locations in Colorado, but surprisingly, each location is planned yet again for Colorado Springs.
According to a press release from Whataburger, these will be the next 4 locations:
- 5905 Constitution Ave, Colorado Springs, Colo. 80915 – 2022
- 1105 Garden of the Gods Rd, Colorado Springs, Colo. 80907 – 2023
- 702 E Fillmore, Colorado Springs, Colo. 80907 – 2023
- 2495 Montebello Square Dr, Colorado Spring, Colo. 80918 – 2023
“We are thrilled to continue to bring Whataburger’s signature customized burgers and extensive menu of fresh, bold flavors with a side of extraordinary hospitality and meaningful community engagement,” said William Tamminga, owner of BurgerWorks Colorado, LLC.
We look forward to growing and serving this thriving area for many years to come.
Whataburger, we're going to need you to truly expand in Colorado, because serving just one city is so unfair.
