It may be bird season all year round in Colorado. But with spring here they are chirping like crazy early in the morning.

What is the most common bird in Colorado?

The American Robin, they have an orange underbelly. They are beautiful birds.

Did you know the State bird of Colorado?

It is a Lark Bunting. The biggest bird in the state is the Bald eagle, and the smallest is the  Calliope Hummingbird.

I love seeing the little birds on my fence any time of the day. Some are taller, and some are thicker too. Colorado has 4 National Parks, 11 National forests, and 42 state parks that offer bird-watching opportunities. I'm putting that on my list of things to do and learn more about birds.

There are also winter birds such as the Black-capped chickadees, and Dark-eyed juncos. Summer has some beautiful birds too, the Barn Swallow, Chipping sparrow, American Goldfinch, and many others.

All year long you may see the Blue jay outside your window, I first saw those in Lake Tahoe California, also the Downy woodpecker, and the Mountain chickadee. Birds are so cool, there are so many in Colorado to enjoy. I've seen a few hummingbirds in the last week, they are so cute. I don't need an alarm clock with the birds outside chirping away.
