After living in Colorado twice now. Back in 2006, I lived in Denver for the summer. My husband took a job, there. It was breathtaking. Unfortunately, we didn't get to stay long enough. So when he told me we were moving to the Western Slope five years ago, I was excited.

The mountain beauty is endless here on the Western Slope. I don't care if you had the worst day ever, you will find beauty on your ride home.

Have you been thinking about moving to Colorado?

Do your research, but you will find great schools. Colorado is ranked number 3 in educated states according to Wallet Hub.

Do you love the outdoors?

Colorado has so many activities in the summer and the winter. If you like skiing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, or ice skating, you can do all of those fun things. The hiking is endless too.

Do you love craft beer?

With over 400 breweries around the state, you will be delighted.

There are many state and national parks, too. Barr State Park, Chatfield State Park, and the Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction. Don't forget the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, I've been there so many times. Only 30 minutes from Montrose.

Colorado is also a very dog-friendly state, I see dogs in cars all the time. From the beauty to the clean mountain air, Colorado is a great place to live and work. Check out some of these places if you are visiting.
