One of the latest of these types of nationwide studies reveals the "worst rated fast food restaurants in each state" and not only will some of the results likely come as a surprise, there's also a caveat that may further explain the picks and why some of them might not be considered accurate.

Is This Really the Worst Fast Food in Colorado?

The data was taken directly from a website known as Carter Five, and one essential descriptive word was left out by Travel Funtu: "failed."

In fact, the verbiage from the Carter Five study was described as the following:

We're diving into the world of failed restaurant chains, where dreams are as big as our appetites, and the results are as unpredictable as falling stars.

In any case, the restaurant that received the distinction of being the worst-rated in Colorado was Firehouse Subs.

Interestingly, Colorado's northern neighbor of Wyoming was listed as having the lowest ranking of Burger King, while over ten states ranked McDonald's as the worst-rated.

While it's obvious that huge fast food chains like McDonald's, Burger King, and even the astronomically healthier Firehouse Subs aren't considered to be failures by any stretch of the word, the results remain fascinating.
