Over the past handful of decades, skateboarding has become a way of life for many, typically beginning either during or sometimes before teenage years. However, skateboarders, also affectionately known as 'skaters,' haven't had the smoothest relationships with the general public.
Especially in the early days, skaters were hassled by local police and often had to get creative with the various locations in which they could practice their tricks. This would oftentimes create more issues as in many cases the stairs and rails that skaters would find belonged to business owners who weren't thrilled with having them around.
Despite things like skate parks becoming commonplace in many cities and towns, you might still see skaters creating their own ramps, rails, and jumps, and one of these do-it-yourself skate parks in Colorado is really something to behold.
