The Story of Colorado's Lao Wang Noodle House
The story of this beloved restaurant located at 945 South Federal Boulevard in Denver truly exemplifies the American dream. It starts back in 1985 when husband and wife Tse-Ming and Chun-Ming Wang immigrated to the United States from Taiwan searching for a better life.
After working at a number of Chinese restaurants in the Denver area, the couple decided it was time to open an eatery of their own, and Lao Wang Noodle House was born.

Unfortunately, patriarch Tse-Ming Wang passed away in 2021 at the age of 76; an event that would severely cripple Lao Wang Noodle House.
Beloved Colorado Chinese Restaurant to Close Soon
Since the death of her husband, 84-year-old Chun-Ming Wang has been running the restaurant with the help of her son Danny and daughter-in-law Frances.
However, owning and operating the Lao Wang Noodle House without her husband has proven to be difficult, and with the costs of living and running a business in Denver showing no signs of slowing down, Wang decided that it was time to close up shop.
Not only will the closure of this restaurant be difficult on Chun-Ming from a business owner's standpoint, but those close to the widow say that the toughest part about going out of business will be the absence of serving regular customers who she considers friends.
Luckily, Lao Wang Noodle House will remain open for a little while longer as the lease is set to run out on February 15, 2025.
