However, a once-popular destination for this kind of family-friendly fun will no longer be known as such, as new restrictions are being put into place that will greatly limit the amount of people, and activities to be accommodated.

Beaver Lake has historically been a popular spot for people to enjoy things like waterskiing, wakeboarding, scuba diving, and stand-up paddleboarding, to name a few. In fact, if you look closely, you'll see that the town of Marble even has its own Stand Up Paddleboarding business on the west side of the town.

Unfortunately, due to a number of factors including the massive influx of visitors to the lake during the COVID-19 pandemic, Colorado Parks and Wildlife have put new restrictions into place that will limit all of these activities, as well as the age requirement to enter the area.

What Restrictions Are in Place at Colorado's Beaver Lake?

The new restrictions only permit those who intend to hunt or fish around the lake and will only be admitted after showing proper license. Because of this, the minimum age required to enter the park is now technically 16.

Since hunting and fishing are essentially the only things allowed at the park now, activities like swimming, stand-up paddle boarding, scuba diving, waterskiing, surfing, and any other activity that requires contact with the water including via a vessel like a tube, are now prohibited.

While the restrictions are currently in place for 2024, sources say that while participating in any of these activities is technically illegal, most will likely just receive a warning at first.
