LOOK: Abandoned Buildings in a Former Colorado Town Left to Rot

While a number of towns that have been abandoned over the years, typically referred to as ghost towns are widely known among Coloradans, some of these former settlements have simply been left to be reclaimed by the elements.

One of these so-called ghost towns was once home to a significant number of residents and, therefore, homes, and included a schoolhouse, a post office, and various other structures.
The town, located on Colorado's eastern plains, was once known as Raymer and looks a lot different today.
Former Colorado Town Now Consists of Numerous Abandoned Structures
Today, if you find yourself passing through "the middle of nowhere" on Colorado's eastern plains, there's a chance you'll drive past some old buildings that were once part of Raymer, Colorado.

However, today, the former town looks a lot different than it did in its heyday.
Below you'll find documentation of an old home with an outhouse, a schoolhouse with an old swingset or two still standing, as well as several other buildings that have obviously been neglected over the years and, simply put, left to rot.
