Items With the Highest Price Increases
Some of the items at the grocery store with the highest price increases are the items we all use for cooking and baking. Eggs, flour, and sugar all lead the way. The price of eggs is up 27% over the past two years, and down about 7% over the past year. Flour and sugar both rose nearly 20% over the past two years without reduction.

The Household Pulse Survey
According to the Household Pulse Survey, a household with 1 person spends about $149 per week on groceries. A 2-person household is spending about $224 on groceries. A 3-person household spends $284, and a 4-person household is trying to afford a weekly grocery bill of around $341.
