Buc-ee's Johnstown, Colorado Location Announces Now Open

Back in the summer of 2022, we broke the news about Colorado getting its very first Buc-ee's location just off of I-25 in Johnstown. Created in 1982, there are more than 40 Buc-ee's locations nationwide. Colorado will be its 48th location.

While sizes in Buc-ee's locations vary around the country, the Johnstown location is being touted as not just the largest Buc-ee's location, but one of the largest gas and convenience store locations in the world.

How Big Is Colorado's Buc-ee's Location?

You've probably seen the size of this massive location off of I-25 and the Johnstown exit, its truly like no gas station or convenience store you've ever seen. The enormous 74,000-square-foot store accompanied by 116 gas pumps, was something I couldn't wait to experience for myself, and while it was packed on opening day, we loved it!

When Is Buc-ee's In Johnstown, Colorado Opening?

After nearly 2 years of construction, after the crew broke ground in June of 22, Colorado's massive debut Buc-ee's location is opened on Monday, March 18th, at 6 am. There was an official ribbon-cutting ceremony around 11 am but by then, the masses were already shopping, eating, pumping gas, and enjoying everything that the world's largest Buc-ee's location has to offer.

Why Is Buc-ee's So Popular?

Yes, the food, the shopping, the fuel, and the fun are among what most what makes this unique store so popular, but Buc-ee's is also known for something that most gas stations or convenience stores never talk about... Its restrooms.

Buc-ee's is known for having the "World's Cleanest Restrooms!" In fact, back in 2012, a nationwide restroom contest was held by Cintas, and Buc-ee's won, making their claim official.

The 100+ gas pumps, massive store, and the world's cleanest restrooms are ready for you as of March 18th. Will you be going right away, or will you wait until the crazy crowds die down a bit? Traffic on I-25 around there should be interesting for a bit.
