Spring in Colorado means flowers, birds, patio beverages, and construction. A major road in Fort Collins will be shut down for a a week, to make it better.

Timberline Road Closure Scheduled for Late March 2025

Nothing lasts forever, including asphalt that makes the roads we drive on. Completely shutting down a section of Timberline Road will make it better in the end, but a major headache for a lot of people in the meantime.

The Fort Collins Mormon Temple, which was dedicated in October of 2016, is about where the closure of Timberline will start- going south to Carpenter Road.

As a media company, we get press releases all the time. Many have to do with road construction going on around Northern Colorado. Some aren't a big deal, some are. This one, a full road closure, I think qualifies as a big deal.

Timberline Road in Fort Collins to Be Closed for Asphalt Project

According to the City of Fort Collins a portion of Timberline Road will be shutdown for an asphalt overlay project. There'll be a "new" road after they're done, but commuters who use this portion of one of Fort Collins' most-traveled roads, will be detoured.

From the City of Fort Collins:

The closure will impact Timberline from Majestic Drive (1/5 mile south of Trilby) to Carpenter Road (Colorado State Highway 392).

There must be thousands of people who use this portion of Timberline; coming off the interstate, getting to the interstate, just trying to get from Loveland to east Fort Collins. This is going to be a week of headaches.

During the closure, March 31 - April 4, 2025, the detour will have travelers using Lemay to get to/from Highway 392 (Carpenter Road.)

Colorado farmers markets are among the best in the nation. They bring their communities out to not only shop, but to just see one another after being cooped up all winter.
