It's one of the most wonderful winter attractions for the whole family in Colorado: Ice Castles. With the 2024-2025 season, Coloradans will have a choice of locations; or you can do both.

Will you and your gang be up for a road trip? How about two road trips? Both Colorado locations are far from Northern Colorado as well as the Denver area. As they say, "You have to want it.."

When you consider all the time, effort, and skill that goes into creating Ice Castles, it does feel like we owe them to at least give it a shot.

Ice Castles is Coming to Colorado With Two Locations for 2024-2025

Since 2011, Ice Castles teams have been spreading joy and smiles in wintertime with their creations: Ice slides, ice sculptures, caves and caverns, tunnels, and more.

It's a great American story: A dad in Utah wants to keep his kids from being bored, so he builds an ice cave in the yard; next thing you know, it's Ice Castles.

Ice Castles has been coming to Colorado since 2017 where it first started out in Dillon. After not coming to the state from 2021 and 2022 (due to a lack of a suitable location) they announced they'd be coming back for the 2023-2024 season, to Cripple Creek.

Cripple Creek, west of Colorado Springs, can be tough to get to in winter, especially if you don't live in the region. It is a wonderful town, however, and they hold their own Ice Festival every year in February, so Ice Castles fits right into that.

Ice Castles Announces Additional Colorado Location for 2024-2025 Season

According to KDVR/FOX-31, Ice Castles will not only be in Cripple Creak, but will also have an attraction in Eagle. I know when I heard that there would be another locale, Eagle was not on my "wish list"  of spots.

Are you "game" for heading way out of town for Ice Castles?
