There are many, many, wedding venues in Colorado; one, in Downtown Loveland, was once a church for over 100 years.

Casa Sagrada Venue in Downtown Loveland

Where once it was a place for people to gather to worship, people gather inside the building to celebrate weddings, attend seminars, or have a retreat. The current owners of the property kept many of the church's features with their renovations.

The building at 404 East 3rd Street in Loveland was Emmanuel Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Every now and then, the Loveland's Downtown Development Authority puts together tours of some of the town's older buildings. I went on one of those tours in March of 2025; one of the buildings on the tour was Casa Sagrada.

From 1920 into the early 2020's, the property at the corner 3rd Street and Jefferson in Downtown Loveland was a church; first a Lutheran church, and then Emmanuel Baptist Church, until the church closed its doors.

The property was listed at $1.4 million, though it's not clear on how much the new owner did pay for the church and the little house next to it, on the property. The husband and wife couple spent 18 months and much money restoring the neglected building.

With a new name, Casa Sagrada "Sacred House," the building became the home to the couple's school, Awakened School, and also became a public venue for weddings, seminars, retreats and the like.

There are several bedrooms within the venue, with a catering kitchen as well. The house next to Casa Sagrada can be rented as an AirBnB but is also used by wedding parties.
