Timeline of the Sodexo Layoff Notification

Employees were notified on the 11th of June about the layoffs and their last day was on June 30th, 2025.

As previously mentioned, companies are required to give at least sixty days notice to both the workers and Colorado WARN officials if there is a mass layoff.

However, this fast turnaround was a result of a sudden "loss of contract."

Why Did Sodexo Lose Its School Contract?

In the official report, Sodexo received notification from their client Academy School District 20 that the client would no longer use their company to perform "K-12 Cafeteria services."

Aramark will be providing these services to the school district instead of Sodexo.

This is resulting in 152 jobs being cut and this Sodexo facility to close down.

The majority of the jobs that were cut were for food service workers.

This is a developing story and we will keep you updated as more information comes out regarding these layoffs.
