Do you consider yourself a hard worker? Here in Colorado, many of us take pride in our work. With such a diverse range of jobs, it's no surprise that so many Coloradans are passionate about what they do.

Surprisingly enough, people outside of Colorado consider us to be lazy. A survey published in early 2024 found that Northern Coloradans, specifically, are not dedicated workers.

Our friends over at WalletHub released new data that identified which states are the most hardworking. They analyzed data on hours worked, commute time, number of jobs reported, average leisure time, and other workplace factors.

WalletHub concluded that Colorado is the eighth hardest-working state in the nation. A specific analytic that grabbed our attention is that we have one of the largest amounts of workers who have multiple jobs.

Second Jobs in Colorado

We all know that the cost of living is growing by the year in Colorado. Coloradans have been finding second jobs and side hustles to make ends meet.

Are we proud that Coloradans are more than willing to step up to the plate? Yes. But it is a sad reality that many of us have to have second jobs to put food on the table and to keep the lights on.

One of my neighbors has a full-time job, a part-time job, and also delivers food on the side. Their lifestyle is becoming more and more common as prices continue to rise.
