Huge Changes Are Coming to Denver’s Ball Arena
Big changes are on the horizon for Denver, especially around Ball Arena, which is set to have a major transformation.
Denver is not the only city in Colorado that is anticipating major changes soon. Greeley and the Colorado Eagles also announced this past summer that they want to build a new arena in Greeley that would include an 8,600-seat venue, an indoor waterpark, and more in the Greeley Westside Project.
You can learn more about that project and what it may look like below.

Okay, back to Denver.
Changes to Area Around Ball Arena
According to a press release by the NBA, The Denver City Council has approved a plan to redevelop the area by Ball Arena. Ball Arena is the home of the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche.
The plan, spearheaded by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, would spend $10 to $12 million on the project.
What Will Be Built in Denver?
It is true that the Denver skyline would look different if and when the redevelopment happens.
55 acres of land will be used for this project. The biggest change is that most of the land will be dedicated to a new park as well as housing.
According to the NBA's press release, family homes will be a priority and there is a huge focus on ensuring that these housing units will be affordable.
In addition to housing, businesses and a 5,000-square-foot art space would also be added.
New Denver Project Will Connect Denver
Another thing that is great about the plan is that it would make the area much more pedestrian-friendly. This plan would link Empower Field, Ball Arena, and Coors Field with easy walking and biking paths. The trail would be called 5280 trail.
